A three bay barn frame of oak construction, professionally dismantled with timbers individually numbered and colour coded ready to be removed from present site in East Anglia and reinstated on the buyers own land

Wintercott Barn is a characterful frame dating from C1600. All the period oak timbers are a wonderful colour.

The barn

This is an exceptional three bay frame which measures 41'9" x 21' 6", giving approximately 1700 square feet of floor space. The tie beams are extremely deep and the double purlins also.

The common rafters have been removed but we could replace these with new oak rafters aged to match.

Some of the studwork was replaced by brickwork but we have period oak in stock to replace this if required.

This is a very good quality frame, which would make a wonderful period home and if built on a tall plinth will be two storey with attics.

The barn was professionally dismantled and has been carefully dry-stored since then. All timbers are individually numbered and colour coded, supplied with a scale drawing to assist re-erection.
