A restored Grade II* listed Devon long house with outbuildings just outside the village of Witheridge, near Tiverton in Devon, all set in eleven acres of land
Westcott Farm is situated in a truly fabulous spot just outside Witheridge in Devon.
It is on the OS map and the nearest large town is Tiverton although South Molton and Crediton are each twenty minutes away.
The Devon Long House
The main house is a Devon Long House which we have restored over the last year to a high standard.
We have full listed consent for all the work as the property is Grade 2* listed. The reason for the star is the stunning A frame which forms part of the kitchen.
The kitchen has an open plan gallery overhead to show off this magnificent piece of carpentry.
The Outbuildings
There are two barns, a byre, and two linnies on the complex which currently have a planning application pending.
We have full architectural drawings and a full structural engineers survey.
The barns are built in cob and stone and are in mixed conditions but the report shows that they are all repairable.
The main barn opposite the house has a flemish bond brick wall to the rear.
Outside
There is a total of approx eleven acres surrounding the house part of which is wooded.
We have our own water supplies and it would be very easy to construct a lake as a leat flows through the grounds and we have streams to two sides of the property.
We have installed a sewage treatment plant with the required consent which will handle the waste of eighteen people as our plan was to convert the barns for holiday lets.
